From Sea to Shining Sea: Hope for Your Journey invites you on a 7-state journey from Maine to Hawaii, drawn from the travels of my parents, who have been married for nearly 60 years. Each short devotion pairs a memorable travel moment with reflection to help you renew your hope and reconnect with God.
With an overall theme of hope, the seven states focus on:
- Maine — Praise
- Vermont — Strength
- Indiana — Challenges
- Alabama — Dreams
- Missouri — Seeking
- Wyoming — Renewal
- Hawaii — Remembrance
Each day also includes a Bible passage, reflection question, and prayer prompt. You can read the devotions or listen to them in the Bible App. I also recorded a short intro video for the 7-day series.
The devotional plan is based on From Sea to Shining Sea: 50 Daily Devotions from Traveling to Every State in America, the book I wrote with my parents about their travels to all 50 states.
